CenturyLink Internet Review

Could CenturyLink Internet be your gateway to high-speed connectivity and reliable service?

Perhaps! We’ve conducted extensive research on CenturyLink internet service in terms of performance, speed, prices, varieties, reliability, and every other thing you’ll want from an ideal internet service provider. Does this internet service tick the boxes in all of the right places? Let’s find out.

CenturyLink Overview

CenturyLink offers a kind of unique internet service experience.

While this provider has no contracts, it’s probably the only provider in the US that offers a price for life guarantee package that allows you to lock in your monthly internet service bill. But does this make CenturyLink worth paying for? You’ll find out in this CenturyLink internet review!

CenturyLink Internet Speeds- DSL/Fiber

Century has four internet plans altogether, three DSL plans, and one fiber internet service bundle. While all of the three DSL plans have different download speed tiers, they cost the same price, so your speed will depend on what’s available in your area. While CenturyLink fiber internet service has the highest download speed of 940 Mbps, the other three bundles have download speeds of 20 Mbps, 80 Mbps, and 100 Mbps.

CenturyLink Internet Bundles (With DirecTV)

CenturyLink has three main distinct internet bundles with DirecTV.

CenturyLink DirecTV Bundles Price/month Download Speeds TV Channel Count

The internet provider also has a single DSL plan that connects you with the fastest speed in your neighborhood. This plan has maximum download and upload speeds of 100 Mbps and 20 Mbps, respectively.

Here’s a breakdown of the CenturyLink internet plan prices;

CenturyLink Internet Reliability

As far as reliability is concerned, while CenturyLink offers decent reliability, it’s not the most reliable internet service out there. Its DSL plans, for the amount they cost, are not even the fastest. Your best bet for high speed and stability will be the fiber internet bundles if they are available in your area.

CenturyLink Pros and Cons

As with all major internet service providers, CenturyLink has a lot of impressive things as well as a few less-than-impressive areas. These are outlined here;

CenturyLink Pros CenturyLink Cons
No ridiculous price hikes
Customer service and support are a pain at times
Can be bundled with DIRECTV
Speed varies and could be a hit or miss for you, in some cases
Fiber internet bundles offer
Gigabit Speeds

CenturyLink Bottom Line

CenturyLink internet manages to help users find the sweet spot between great speed and reasonable prices. The price for life bundles are also in a different class of their own making it easy for you to lock down contracts for the foreseeable future. Aside from the customer service that we’d like to see improve and the fiber internet bundles that could be slow in some cases, CenturyLink internet service is well worth the money!
